Here is how Seedfolks began, in Rhiannon's version!~:
In Paul Fleischman's book, Seedfolks, he writes about thirteen different characters, all with their own story and background. They all have different personalities.
But, a little girl named Kim went to a dump, on Gibbs Street, and plants three lime bean seeds in memory of her father, who died previously.
An old woman named Ana saw Kim. At first, Ana thought that Kim had been burying something bad, like a gun, money, or drugs. Ana then bought binoculars. But when she went down, Ana realizes that she had something bad. She had dug up Kim's bean seeds, that were just beginning to sprout.
The people bring their cultures to the garden. The word seed folks means ancestors.--Jacy
